30 min b&w warm-up from this morning
for someone who asked, this was painted with Painter’s soft pastel brushes.

here’s a Painter speed sketch from the other day, featuring Adelle (character from the last post). might clean this one up later. on a side note, i will never cease to LOVE backlighting… it always makes everything look so romantic and pretty! :>

browsing my warm-up folder for sketches to post here… here are some older studies drawn with corel painter’s “hard charcoal pencil” tool. definitely one of the most organic digital sketching tools i’ve used!
i need to post more warm-ups! here’s yesterday’s ink warm-up of a bratty little girl… ever have one of those days where you just don’t want to do anything you’re told? sometimes drawing is therapeutic in ways we don’t even realize at the time…
